Winnie is Crime Archivesa cat with a, uh, uniqueappetite. Let's just say Meow Mix doesn't quite do the trick.
Did that first hair tie taste... good? A welcome reprieve from the wet food/dry food routine? Did it awaken a hidden desire for nylon embedded in her genetic coding?
SEE ALSO: Well this might just be cutest travel buddy ever...We may never know. But we do know this: By the end of Winnie's feeding frenzy, she ended up with a final count of "46 hair ties" with some "other miscellaneous material" we don't even want to think about.
Graciously, Animal Emergency & Critical Care of Lynchburgprovided a picture of the contents removed from her belly, including all 46 ties lined up.
You can't help but feel grateful, for Winnie's sake, that these were the "thin" stripe of hair ties. Quantity without the mass. A good call on her part.
AECCL says Winnie is feeling "much better now," and her owner gave the care center a shoutout:
Her owner also provided a pic of Winnie in her what looks like her prime, which doesn't involve a belly full of hair ties.
So after her grand intestinal adventure, it's back to the ol' wet food/dry food grind.
