2016 was a big year for Kickstarter.
The Fuck Off (2023) Hindi Web Seriescrowdfunding platform took some time Wednesday to highlight the year in Kickstarter projects.
In total, 3.5 million people supported Kickstarter projects last year. In the first week of 2017, 250 Kickstarter founders showed off their projects at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Dozens of Kickstarter creators will show films at the Sundance Film Festival in late January, Kickstarter said.

Last year, Kickstarter expanded its platform to Hong Kong, Mexico and Singapore, too.
"Over the next year, lifting the voices of independent creators will become even more important. We’re committed to giving those voices a stage, and helping them earn an audience," Kickstarter wrote in a blog post.
Some of the projects Kickstarter highlighted: a bike light with laser projection, subway art featuring cats, and jewelry made of smog.
