Perry sang in a white pantsuit -- a tribute to the suffragette movement and her girl, Hillary Clinton, who won a Grammy herself in 1996 for the audiobook of It Takes a Village. She accessorized with a sparkly armband reading, "resist."
The setup was kind of a Truman Showversion of the USA, with a white picket fence and not much else.
