The ride will first open in Orlando on Dec. 5 (Walt Disney's birthday), then in Anaheim in January 2020. The Orlando branch of Galaxy's Edge will open to the public on August 29 (California opened in May – read our preview here).
On the ride, visitors will be asked to join the Resistance (there appears to be no option for joining the First Order, which seems appropriate) and escape capture by the First Order and Kylo Ren. Disney promises the ride "will blur the lines between fantasy and reality."
Galaxy's Edge is now open at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif.
