Spider-Man may be review of sex and eroticism in mesopotamian literaturea good student and a great superhero, but he is a decidedly subpar graphic designer.
IMAX has just released a new Spider-Man: Homecomingposter that's somehow even more of an eyesore than the last one. And if you remember that last one, that's really saying something.
To be fair, though, at least this one has a reason for looking the way it does. It's clearly done up to resemble a school folder covered in stickers and doodles, and it succeeds on that front. (There's a reason we don't typically turn to bored high schoolers for sleek, minimalist design.) Still, that doesn't change the fact that this is painfully ugly.
But then again, whether the poster is fun to look at is way less important than whether the movie is fun to look at – and on that front, thankfully, Spider-Man: Homecomingseems to be succeeding with flying colors.
