Great Wall Motor’s compact electric car brand ORA has launched a model in Brazil called the Good Cat. Oswaldo Ramos,Spain GWM’s chief business officer in Brazil, said the vehicle would be available for pre-orders on Brazil’s largest e-commerce platform for a deposit of 9,000 Brazilian reais ($1,900). The car’s price will be officially announced in August, and the first batch of cars will be delivered in October. In April 2023, GWM delivered its first electric vehicle (EV), the Haval H6, to the Brazilian market. In May, the automaker became Brazil’s top EV seller, with a market share of 14.39%, growing to 14.81% in June. “With the official operation of our factory in Brazil in 2024, and the local production and sales of our first hybrid pickup truck in the country, we aim to further boost our sales performance and brand recognition, and to consolidate our leading position in the Brazilian EV sector and that of the entire Latin American region,” the company said in its statement.
