That Netflix binge you have Watch The Butcher, the Chef, and the Swordsman Onlinebeen daydreaming about could soon cost you some extra dough.

The Australianclaims Netflix is running a test that saw customers pay up to 20 percent more when they signed up to the service on the weekend. For users seeing the test, it reportedly increased the basic service from $8.99 to $9.99 a month, the standard service from $11.99 to $13.99 a month and the premium service from $14.99 to $17.99 a month.
Netflix made it clear to Mashable that, despite the report, it is not testing weekend-only pricing, no one has been charged an extra fee and that no announcement has been made -- it was simply a user test on the service and it was a coincidence that it occurred on the weekend.
"We continuously test new things at Netflix and these tests typically vary in length of time. In this case, we are testing slightly different price points to better understand how consumers value Netflix," the company said in an emailed statement.
"Not everyone will see this test and we may not ever offer it generally."
May not...gulp.
UPDATE:Wednesday, May 17, 7:45 a.m. AEST:Netflix denied to Mashable it is "surge pricing" its subscriptions on weekends.
