Popeyes announced the national release of their new Sweet & Crunchy Tenders,Watch Young Wife Bai Jie and we're pretty sure this idea was born from a not-so-sober late night fridge raid involving a chicken drumstick and a tub of cookie dough.

The new treat isn't exactly the cookie-chicken mashup you're imagining (we were picturing an ice cream sandwich of sorts, but with chicken instead of ice cream). The tenders are made with a shortbread cookie coating that gives the chicken its sweet taste and crunchy texture.

Think buttery Shortbread Girl Scout cookies, only more delicious.

To us, this sounds like the perfect combination between salty and sweet, or a great opportunity to have dessert for dinner. But others are not as impressed.
