The contents of the dossier had been summarized by intelligence officials for Obama and Trump in a two-page synopsis last week, according to CNN.

Trump's attorney, Michael Cohen, denied the claims to Mic, telling them, "It's so ridiculous on so many levels. Clearly the person who created this did so from their imagination or did so hoping that the liberal media would run with this fake story for whatever rationale they might have."

Trump, too, forcefully denied the report in a tweet.
