On Paytm Movies, part of India's largest mobile wallet firm Paytm, Baahubali 2has emerged as the biggest grossing film ever.
"With early sales showing an upward trend, Paytm has experienced an eight times surge in overall traffic in the film’s opening week and accounted for more than 30% market share to the Hindi version’s opening weekend," the company said in a statement.

These might be small numbers compared to giant Hollywood releases, but for an Indian film these are unprecedented figures. And that explains the hysteria around Baahubali.
It is a truly global phenomenon now. It also has a spin-off animation series, Baahubali: The Lost Legends, which launched last month on Amazon Prime Video worldwide.
We're counting the feathers in Baahubali's cap. Or should we say crown?
