Jamie Lee Curtis has clapped back at Fox News for its misguided tweet about her views on Her PS Partnergun control.
On Wednesday, Fox News shared a truly dumb take about Curtis, star of the Halloweenre-boot.

Yeah, so to break that down, Fox News was claiming that because Curtis' character Laurie Strode uses guns in a horror movie, that Curtis' own personal views on guns were hypocritical. Because she's clearly not acting in a movie.
"It was just silly, because they were trying to make a point without ever asking me what I really think," Curtis told USA Today on Wednesday.
"I am vocal about common-sense gun safety and gun laws," she told the publisher. "For instance, I fully support an assault weapon ban, I fully support a bump stock ban.
"I fully support the Bill of Rights. And fully support the Second Amendment. And have absolutely no problem with people owning firearms if they have been trained, licensed, a background check has been conducted, a pause button has been pushed to give time for that process to take place. And they have to renew their license just like we do with automobiles -- which are weapons also."
Notably, Curtis herself reportedly consulted on the types of weapons her character would use in the film, to defend herself against Halloween's villain and Strode's own personal boogeyman, Michael Myers. Curtis reportedly made sure automatic weapons were not part of Strode's strategy.
But Curtis' personal views on guns are exactly that — hers. Not that of her character.
"I’m an actress who's in slasher movies," she told the publisher. "I have to be responsible for my own personal choices in my own personal life. But I am an actor for hire. And honestly, if I had made my career as a pacifist actor, I would never have worked, ever."
