Here's a cultural mashup you did not see coming: Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden and Watch Disciple of Deokjin Yuk Onlinethe seminal Backstreet Boys hit "Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)."
A video showing a group of young supporters in New Hampshire serenading the former vice president graced the internet on Sunday. The group is busting out a rendition of "Everybody" that basically replaces the lyrics in the chorus with "Joe Biiiiiden / yeaaaah" over and over. The parody concludes with an enthusiastic, "Biden's back / Alright!"
Judging by the look on Biden's face, it seems like the candidate might not be intimately familiar with the 1997 smash. He does seem to appreciate the effort from the young folks, saying "They're good" and smiling widely.
The Washington Examiner — a right-leaning publication — posted a video of the parody to Twitter on Monday.

While the enthusiasm from the singers was admirable, the parody definitely has some cringe to it, reminiscent of the now-infamous Mayor Pete dance. The responses online ranged from perplexed to outright cringing. And jokes. There were lots of jokes.

But here's the thing: This parody is an awful earworm. About an hour from now, there's a decent chance you're going to be humming to yourself, "Joe Biiiiiden / yeaaaah."
And you're going to hate it.
