The cowboy eroticismtruly tireless Jennifer Lopez reminded us all of her lengthy reign, performing a medley of pretty much *all* her hits at the MTV VMAs on Monday.
The 49-year-old music icon stepped up with thrilling renditions of "I'm Real" (featuring an appearance by Ja Rule), "Love Don't Cost a Thing," "Jenny From the Block," "Booty," "Waiting for Tonight," "Get Right," among others.
SEE ALSO: We are not worthy of Nicki Minaj's majestic VMAs performanceLopez rolled out multiple costume changes, performed on the front of a subway car, fronted a team of light rod-wielding back-up dancers, found herself in a snow globe, and threw down show-stopping moves no mere mortal could attempt.
In the crowd was her partner and number one fan Alex Rodriguez, who was lapping up the performance.

Lopez performed at the ceremony in conjunction with her Video Vanguard Award honour, an accolade which has been earned by greats like Madonna, Michael Jackson, and Beyoncé.
"Music, acting, performing, this career, has always been an obsession for me," Lopez told the crowd. "When people told me 'you're doing too much, you can only do one thing,' ... I was always a person who was like 'why not? Why not?'"
Now that's an icon.
