After Kendall Jenner's now-infamous Pepsi ad was memed to hell on Risa Sakamoto ArchivesTwitter, we really should have expected this.
One true hero in Portland, Oregon who saw Pepsi's commercial and really got it walked up to Mayor Ted Wheeler and handed him a Pepsi during a city council meeting. It didn't end well for the guy -- but wow, what a visionary.
After handing Wheeler the unifying drink, the man then opened up his own can before being escorted away by officials.
Watch the revolutionary moment here:
"Please folks, don’t do that for your own safety," Wheeler said (LOL America). "If this were the Boston City Council, that would have ended differently." 🇺🇸
Oregon Public Broadcasting later reported that the man identified himself as a former journalist of the Boston Herald, but the paper didn't have a record of employing a reporter by that name.
Hey, at least we're all united now, you guys. Pepsi did it. Pepsi saved us all.
