Kit Harington wants you to know he's not just a head of good hair. (OK,Secret Confessions (2025) Biyenan Episode 43 greathair.)
The Game of Thronesactor recently spoke with The Sunday Times Magazine and admitted that as a male actor, he has faced sexism and typecasting based on his "look."
"I like to think of myself as more than a head of hair or a set of looks. It’s demeaning. Yes, in some ways you could argue I’ve been employed for a look I have. But there’s a sexism that happens towards men."
Harington has been one of the few men who has appeared nude in the HBO show, which has mainly featured female nudity in its six seasons -- but has slowly begun changing course after its cast and fans begged to free the penis.
It's also during photoshoots that Harington has felt judged on his physical appearance.
“At some points during photoshoots when I’m asked to strip down, I felt that. If I felt I was being employed just for my looks, I’d stop acting," he said.
Harington bluntly calls it a "double standard," saying he is also exhausted of questions pertaining to his hair, muscles, and love life.
"If you said to a girl, ‘Do you like being called a babe?’ and she said, ‘No, not really,’ she’d be absolutely right,” Harington said. "There’s definitely a sexism in our industry that happens towards women, and there is towards men as well."
We guess Jon Snow does know something...
