In the wake of Ja Rule's disastrous Fyre Festival,Hot Airlines Porn Movie Fyre has finally released an official statement addressing guests', uh, less-than-Instagrammable experience.
Co-owners Billy McFarland and Ja Rule are now promising guests full refunds and VIP passes to next year's festival, which will reportedly be held on a beach in the United States. The festival also plans to donate a small portion of each ticket sold this year to the Bahamian Red Cross.

As for why this year's attempt was such a nightmare, the statement cites the Exuma Islands' lack of infrastructure, an overwhelmed staff, and a surprise storm that destroyed accommodations just before guests arrived as reasons for the chaos. (Judging by this staff account on The Cut, though, it seems the whole thing was doomed from the start.)
Will this year's visibly devastated guests willingly attend next year's festival? That seems ... unlikely. But at least we'll always have the memories. And the memes.
