David Cassidy,Insaaf (2023) EP 2 Hindi Web Series who became famous in the 1970s playing Keith Partridge on The Partridge Family, has died, his publicist confirmed on Tuesday night. He was 67 years old.
"On behalf of the entire Cassidy family, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, our uncle, and our dear brother, David Cassidy," a statement from his publicist Jo-Ann Geffen read. "David died surrounded by those he loved, with joy in his heart and free from the pain that had gripped him for so long. Thank you for the abundance of love and support you have shown him these many years."
He had been admitted to a Florida hospital several days earlier for organ failure.
Cassidy rose to fame in 1970 on The Partridge Family, which pushed "I Think I Love You" to the top of the charts with the teen heartthrob on vocals.
On Nov. 18, NBC News reported that Cassidy had been hospitalized and needed a liver transplant. Earlier this year, the singer revealed his recent battle with dementia. He talked openly about it with fans in New York during the last tour of his career.
After news of his death spread, music legends and Hollywood stars paid tribute to Cassidy's legacy on social media.
